The Updated Plan

We had another follow up last week due to the swelling and basically what we thought was swelling, was essentially a misshapen head. You can kind of tell from this picture...



















His forehead looks swollen, but really because of his band for his BAHA's, it was getting pushed forward. Apparently, his skull was in a very "shapable" state. You can kind of tell from these angles the bulging that was going on....terrible pics.





















So I assumed we are getting a helmet, but he doesn't think it's necessary. We are to wear a hat or an awesome sweat band. It has been a little over a week now and the results are amazing. Hasn't slowed us down one bit. His lids are still super droopy and since they were pretty severe before we are watching them closely. The second part of the surgery (or the eye lid repair) is scheduled for June 28th. It is truly the summer of surgeries. We also have the official green light for decanulation (removal of trach). OMG. We won't actually get the real green light until the day off when they do a scope but after some serious rearranging we are set for August 11th.
